Task Force Operations Specialist

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Wankawala Organization (The). The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

The Task Force Operations Specialist provides hands-on operational leadership and support to hotels across the organization. This position supports properties during GM vacancies, transitions, performance improvement initiatives, openings, acquisitions, and other special projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide interim hotel leadership during GM vacancies or transitions.
  • Quickly assess property performance and implement improvement plans.
  • Coach, train, and support General Managers and property leadership teams.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and employee relations.
  • Drive guest satisfaction, cleanliness, service, and brand compliance.
  • Monitor financial performance, labor, revenue, and key hotel metrics.
  • Ensure company policies, brand standards, and QA requirements are achieved.
  • Support hotel openings, acquisitions, renovations, and special projects.
  • Communicate property performance, challenges, and action plans to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a branded select-service or focused-service hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, brand standards, QA, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to read and understand P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, and hotel performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess hotel operations and drive results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel operating systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75%, including extended assignments as needed.
