Academic Interventional and Structural Cardiologist

The Brown University Health (BUH) Cardiovascular Institute, part of the faculty practice program for the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, is seeking an exceptional interventional and structural cardiologist to join its rapidly expanding, nationally recognized academic program. Fueled by regional growth and rising demand for advanced cardiovascular care across southeastern New England, BUH has become one of the premier multi-hospital networks in the region. With the addition of two hospital systems in Bristol County, Massachusetts, the Brown Health footprint now spans six hospitals, 1,400 beds, and one of the region's largest referral bases.
As part of its comprehensive cardiovascular services, Brown University Health offers a robust, nationally recognized structural heart program with strong procedural volumes, supported by a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team-based model of care. The selected candidate will have a strong clinical background in coronary & structural heart disease interventions to help support the continued growth of our program.

About the job:

  • Build an outpatient consultative practice for interventional and Structural Heart Disease Clinics
  • Perform a well-balanced mix of coronary and advanced structural interventions
  • Share interventional call at a favorable 1:5 ratio, including nights and weekends
  • Join an experienced team of ten interventional cardiologists, including two[MS1] structural interventional cardiologists
  • Dedicated cath lab support includes a full team of nurses and advanced practice providers.
  • Dedicated structural heart clinic support includes 2 advanced practice providers, 4 valve clinic coordinators, and medical assistants
  • Participate in cardiovascular service rotations at Rhode Island and/or Miriam Hospital as assigned
  • Potential future leadership opportunities within a growing academic program
  • This position is unable to support a candidate requiring a visa

About the benefits:

  • Total compensation package $400,000- $550,000

About you:

  • Substantial experience in transcatheter valve therapies and other structural heart interventional procedures
  • A dedicated year of structural fellowship training is highly preferred
  • Strong interest in clinical research spanning structural heart disease, including commitment to contributing to ongoing clinical trials.
  • Have an enthusiastic approach to team-based care
