This candidate is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support of production machine‑shop and fabrication equipment across the Orlando campus. Supports a diverse portfolio that includes CNC machines, manual lathes and mills, additive‑manufacturing systems, and other specialized shop assets.

Performs planned and emergent maintenance to keep equipment available and reliable. Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related failures within trained capability and coordinates with manufacturers, service providers, Engineering, and other trades when proprietary support or extra expertise is needed.

Assists with minor machining and fabrication required for facility upkeep, such as fabricating or modifying components, performing small‑scale welding, and other shop‑based repairs. Carries out corrosion‑prevention and control activities—including identification, surface preparation, treatment, coating, and documentation—on equipment and facility assets. Works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and the Planner/Scheduler to execute preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, installations, relocations, and commissioning. Engages specialized contractors as required. Ensures all work complies with safety, quality, environmental, technical, and documentation standards. Documents completed tasks and equipment conditions in LMBuildings, flags recurring failures or deficiencies, and contributes to continuous‑improvement of preventive‑maintenance programs and equipment reliability.

Primary responsibilities include machine‑shop equipment preventive and corrective maintenance, CNC and conventional machine troubleshooting, additive‑manufacturing support, mechanical/electrical equipment diagnostics, minor machining and welding, corrosion prevention, equipment installation/relocation, contractor/vendor coordination, and work‑order documentation. Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment. Performs basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air‑conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools. May be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor. May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.

Basic Qualifications

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, operating, or providing technical support for industrial, manufacturing, machine shop, or production equipment

Experience troubleshooting CNC machines, manual machine tools, fabrication equipment, or similar industrial equipment

Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical or electromechanical equipment

Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or other equipment systems

Experience reading and interpreting equipment drawings, schematics, technical manuals, manufacturer documentation, and maintenance procedures

Experience using common machine shop, fabrication, maintenance, hand, power, and diagnostic tools

Ability to independently evaluate equipment failures and determine appropriate troubleshooting and repair actions within assigned capability

Working knowledge of applicable equipment safety practices and lockout/tagout requirements

Ability to respond to changing priorities and emergent equipment maintenance requirements

Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with equipment maintenance and fabrication activities in varying shop and facility environments

Ability to obtain and maintain required site access/security requirements

Desired Skills

Experience maintaining CNC machining equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, production, or technical shop environment

Experience maintaining and troubleshooting manual lathes, mills, saws, grinders, drill presses, and other machine shop equipment

Experience supporting additive manufacturing equipment, including industrial or commercial additive/3D printing systems

Experience troubleshooting machine electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, motor, drive, control, sensor, or related equipment systems

Experience diagnosing equipment failures using alarms, diagnostic information, schematics, equipment history, and field testing

Experience performing minor machining or fabrication to support equipment and facility repairs

Experience performing minor welding or metal repair activities within applicable training and qualification

Experience performing corrosion prevention and control activities, including inspection, surface preparation, treatment, coating, or repair

Experience identifying recurring equipment failures and supporting root-cause analysis or reliability improvements

Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
