Summary

Northwestern State University is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Coordinator 2 for the National Center for Preservation Technology & Training (NCPTT).

NCPTT Technical Services is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to provide essential operational support. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of departmental administrative functions. The Administrative Coordinator 2 will serve as a key resource for department operations, supporting activities related to contracting, purchasing, budget tracking, and travel coordination. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the Technical Services department and contributing to the successful execution of its mission and programs.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Banner system for purchasing, creating vendors, and paying contractors.
  • Prepare contract paperwork for research associates, interns, and work-study students.
  • Track budget across multiple accounts and grants.
  • Help write cooperative agreements and contracts.
  • Answer the door and phone calls for Lee H. Nelson Hall.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work location: NCPTT - Nelson Hall, Natchitoches, LA
