The SPLC is seeking a Coordinator, Facilities who is passionate about Social Justice!

The Coordinator, Facilities oversees building maintenance and grounds at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Civil Rights Memorial Center (CRMC).

What You'll Do

Conduct visual inspections of the Montgomery location and CRMC building systems for proper functionality and maintains cleanliness of properties.

Schedule and supervise contractors for facility repairs as needed.

Assist the Facilities Senior Specialist and provides on-call support.

Maintain records of maintenance agreements and repairs; creates and submits facility reports to supervisor.

Track, maintain and fulfill inventory for facility maintenance, janitorial operations, PPE, kitchen supplies, etc.

Assist the Senior Manager, Administration with set-ups and relocations.

Assist with event set-up and break down.

Manage and close facilities help desk tickets through the online system.

Deliver incoming mail and processes outgoing mail.

Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years facilities management experience; experience in electrical, plumbing or HVAC preferred; and
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a non-exempt role, and the minimum starting salary is $61,825 ($29.72 per hour) annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Where & How You'll Work

This role has the following work designation options:

  • Full-Time In Office: In-office work requires employees to work in their assigned SPLC offices every workday unless otherwise instructed by their supervisor.
  • This position will report to the Senior Manager, Administration.

Other Special Considerations

This job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.
