Job Summary

The National Account Manager, SHI (NAM) will be responsible for overseeing and managing key national account (SHI) within the technology sector. This role involves building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering tailored technology solutions. The NAM will serve as a strategic partner to clients, providing industry insights, managing large-scale contracts, owning partner management and sales relationships at SHI, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Relationship Building
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for SHI building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
    • Understand client business goals and challenges, offering tailored technology solutions that drive value and growth.
    • Foster strong relationships at multiple levels of the organization (executives, technical teams, procurement) to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Lead the sales efforts for assigned national accounts, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with both the client’s objectives and the company’s goals.
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding product offerings.
  • Solution Delivery & Project Coordination
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales engineering, product management, marketing) to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
    • Monitor the progress of projects to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
    • Provide thought leadership and guidance to clients in selecting the best technology solutions for their needs.
  • Contract Negotiations & Renewals
    • Lead contract negotiations and renewals with key national accounts, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.
    • Manage the full contract lifecycle, from initial discussions to final agreement, including pricing and terms.
  • Market & Industry Insights
    • Stay updated on technology trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
    • Use market intelligence to anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions.
  • Customer Advocacy
    • Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring that client feedback is incorporated into product/service offerings and improving overall client experience.
    • Manage client escalations and resolve issues quickly, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales pipeline, and forecasts for management review.
    • Analyze sales data and trends to optimize strategies and improve account performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in channel account management with SHI, sales, or business development, preferably in the technology sector.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of technology solutions (e.g., cloud computing, software, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity) and the ability to translate technical concepts to business value.

  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Client Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level executives and decision-makers.

  • Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with different departments, and drive results across multiple stakeholders.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $126,000 (On - Target Earnings)
