Desktop Support Technician - Windows 11 Deployment
Position Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support a large-scale Windows 11 deployment initiative across multiple enterprise locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional with strong desktop support experience who is comfortable working independently and supporting end users during hardware refresh and operating system migration activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in device imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and migration efforts, helping ensure a smooth transition to Windows 11 across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop Support & Deployment
- Perform workstation imaging, configuration, and deployment activities.
- Support Windows 11 migration projects, including user setup and post-deployment troubleshooting.
- Migrate pilot and production user groups to new devices and operating systems.
- Install, configure, and support desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Provide onsite support across multiple office and branch locations as required.
Technical Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform hardware replacements, system upgrades, and device refresh activities.
- Document support procedures, deployment activities, and issue resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
Project Support
- Assist with large-scale desktop deployment and device refresh initiatives.
- Coordinate deployment schedules and support users during migration windows.
- Ensure successful device rollouts with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support after-hours deployment activities and maintenance windows.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing computer imaging and device deployment activities.
- Strong desktop support experience, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with limited supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Willingness to travel between multiple work locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting Windows 11 deployments or operating system migrations.
- Experience with enterprise desktop refresh projects.
- Familiarity with deployment and imaging tools.
- Experience working in large corporate or enterprise environments.
Work Schedule
- Standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Flexibility to work after hours during deployment windows, typically between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
- Must be comfortable working a schedule that includes both daytime imaging activities and evening deployment support.
Work Environment
- Onsite position supporting multiple office and branch locations.
- Fast-paced environment supporting a large enterprise-wide technology initiative.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
