Sales Distribution Operations Analyst

SUMMARY

Works with the Sales Operations Manager to build the Oracle STARS module that supports Subaru of America (SOA) Distribution, the Vehicle Planning System, Accounting Fixed Operations, and Logistics/Ports/Subaru Yard Operations (SYO). Ensures the accuracy of the system functionality relating to each individual item that Subaru imports, exports, manufactures, and sells. Utilizes thorough knowledge of Subaru supply-chain distribution systems, logistics, policies, and processes. Operationally opens and closes the Sold Order system and communicates that information to the Subaru field staff. Maintains responsibility for analyzing, interpreting, and translating all of Subaru Corporation (SBR) Model and Option Codes into SOA Model Option Spec Color (MOSC) and communicating that information to the appropriate business partners. Acts as the driver for SOA Systems "Bill of Materials" by creating a unique entry for each "end" item as well as vehicle and accessory configurations for all port- and retailer-installed accessories, as well as by writing and managing configurations for accurate applicability of each item.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with the Product Management group to create all Model Option Spec Color (MOSC) combinations for both the U.S. Model Lineup as well as Exports, Bill of Material items for both port- and retailer-installed accessories, packages, and vehicle configurations rules. Works with the Vehicle Planning team and Product Management to ensure that new model years are created in both the Vehicle Planning System and Oracle STARS-Vehicles module prior to the first production order being placed. Gathers required data from Product Management, ensures data formatting accuracy, and builds the system tables from the data.
  • Serves as the go-to resource for all Oracle STARS functionality for Sales Operations, as well as other business partners including Accounting, Logistics, Fixed Operations, and Product Management. Responds to system or vehicle order issues reported from Subaru Regions, Zones, Districts, and Retailers.
  • Analyzes and audits all Oracle Bill of Material items to ensure accuracy of accessory applicability as well as pricing.
  • Maintains responsibility for the resolution of all ServiceNow inquiries from both internal and external sources (including Subaru retailers) that are assigned to Distribution department from IT.
  • Oversees the operational and technical process of opening and closing sold orders. Communicates the information to our retailers through Subarunet as well as our Field staff. Analyzes the supply picture to ensure the availability for sold orders.
  • Develops and demonstrates proficiencies within the Oracle suite. Maintains responsibility for the administration of all phases of the applications regarding vehicle distribution, considering facets such as Subaru production flexibility (SPF) and the impact on sales, Regions, and retailers; ensures that application updates including new versions do not negatively affect connected processes. Synthesizes advanced knowledge of vehicle pricing attributes and functionality and all related vehicle paperwork including the drafting and vehicle inventory process and sales reporting and analysis. Resolves errors that appear in the system generated alerts and creates enhanced best practices to minimize errors.
  • Serves as initial point-of-contact business owner and systems administrator for Oracle STARS.
  • Maintains responsibility for daily list of exception reports (including Supply report) as well as other order/system issues by clearing these exceptions with an eye on rationale that caused the exception. Works with business partners in Vehicle Planning and Logistics as well as Information Technology (IT), Accounting, Fixed Operations, and Connected Business departments to determine a resolution for the problem.
  • Supports the Operations Managers in Sales – Distribution by taking lead responsibility in the enhancement and project requests and user testing for application development for all applications utilized in the Distribution department.
  • Analyzes the system's wholesale results. Develops reports to detect processing and shipping challenges due to inevitable parts "just in time shortages." Works with the Ports and Accessories teams to identify root causes of part delays and identifies new and improved process flows so that port processing is seamless.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoots system problems and coordinates special projects, with a focus on data extraction for the analysis of issues with processing and shipping units.
  • Rotates with other Sales Distribution Operations Analyst and Sales Operations Manager as the point of contact for IT on the sales close each month.
  • Provides back-up to other specialized areas in Sales Operations – Distribution and Subaru Allocation Manager (SAM) software system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 6-8 years required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer needs. Capable of analysis and understanding of connections between business problems and resolutions.
  • Ability to think creatively and proactively.
  • Ability to effectively and quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to retain a commanding knowledge of a fast-paced supply chain and logistics environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate efficiently in all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility in balancing a number of priorities.
  • Working knowledge of SubaruNet, Subaru Business Intelligence (SBI), and QLIK Preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Order Management Modules including Install Base, Manufacturing, Pricing, and Quoting Preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree and 6-8 years of experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)
  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
  • Required Travel: 5% Domestic Travel.

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $80000-$105000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible. (Internal Job Grade: P2)
