GRADES:
We are seeking a Long Term Substitute for a maternity leave ~ January 25-April 16, 2027.

SALARY: L/T Sub rate = $220/day

Richland #44 School District is a Class B school district of about 300 students with two school buildings (PK-6 in Abercrombie and 7-12 in Colfax). We are idyllically located about halfway between Fargo and Wahpeton, giving families and staff the best of both worlds with a small-town feel close to larger areas. SUMMARY:
To create a class environment favorable to student growth; to establish effective and positive relationships within the school system; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation for academic, social & emotional success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates effectively with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
Creates lesson plans using district-approved instructional materials that include prioritized state standards and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
Translates instructional materials into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Communicates regularly with parents by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
Establishes and positively maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
Evaluates and monitors students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
Identifies student needs, plans and implements interventions, sets and monitor goals. As needed, works with a team to refer students for individual education plans.
Plans and coordinates the work of paraprofessionals as needed in the classroom.
Provides individualized and small group instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Creates a positive environment for learning.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises students and classroom support staff.
