General Job Description:

Energetic and self-motivated Instructor to ehlp create memorable, positive learning experiences in STEM. Working directly with the STARBASE Wright-Patt Director, Deputy Director and other Program Instructors, you will provide daily direct classroom instruction and management. This is an Employee-At-Will position contingent upon continued DoD funding. Please note that this is a specialized DoD outreach role and is a separate entity from regular classroom teacher positions regarding salary and leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Provide direct instruction to 5th-grade students with the DoD STARBASE STEM curriculum using a collaborative co-teaching model.
  • Manage Classrooms: Set up, tear down, and inventory lesson materials routinely to keep shared classrooms organized.
  • Build Rapport: Maintain a fun, professional relationship with participating students, visiting classroom teachers, and staff.
  • Lead Summer Camps: Develop and provide instruction for summer camp participants as assigned.
  • Represent the Program: Participate in at least two community outreach events, such as TechFest or the STEM Hoopla Challenge.

Salary: $260.25/day plus benefits
