FP&A Accountant (12-month fixed-term contract)

The FP&A Accountant supports strategic decision-making through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis. The role provides accurate financial insights and reporting support to drive business performance and informed decision-making across the organisation. This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) basis.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Consolidate, review, and analyse monthly executive reporting packs, divisional budgets, and group budgets.
  • Prepare and present consolidated monthly financial performance reports.
  • Compile half-year and year-end analyst packs.
  • Prepare monthly board reports and management reporting packs.
  • Ensure financial records comply with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

Financial Planning & Advisory

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Assist management in understanding business performance and key financial drivers.
  • Provide financial analysis of operational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide audit support as required.

Financial Records & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting documentation.
  • Support reporting system enhancements and template updates.
  • Participate in finance process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with reporting automation and efficiency projects.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with operational and departmental managers to understand business drivers and financial performance.
  • Provide financial guidance to support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Administrative & Reporting Support

  • Maintain financial reporting schedules, templates, and filing systems.
  • Ensure reporting deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare, compile, print, bind, and distribute monthly management and board packs.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance function as required.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

Equivalent 3 year tertiary qualification (ISCED 6) will be considered.

Professional accounting qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) are advantageous
