Pickup Truck Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable Pickup Truck Driver to join our mining team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport personnel, equipment, and materials within the mining site using a pickup truck. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a pickup truck to transport personnel, equipment, and materials within the mining site.

• Transport materials to and from designated areas within the mine site, including loading and unloading as required.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the pickup truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition and reporting any mechanical issues.

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to speed limits and traffic signs.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other personnel to ensure efficient operations.

• Assist with other tasks within the mining site as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Proven experience as a pickup truck driver or similar role.

• Experience working in a mining or industrial environment preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

• Ability to work in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions.

• Should not be visually impaired.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and drive for long distances.
