The opportunity
Manager, Accounts Receivable – Collections will be responsible for managing the daily functions of the Collections team. This role will establish, maintain and report metrics while training, ensuring and adhering to policies and procedures.
The role
• Manage a team of Collections Senior Analysts /Analysts/ Assistants to reduce/minimize the Company’s A/R balances by
maximizing the timely collection of outstanding receivables in accordance with company policy guidelines.
• Manage processes that ensure timely resolution of customer invoices. • Manage and provide accurate invoice status reporting for portfolio of accounts managed by the team. • Ensure company policies and procedures are in place and manage adherence. • Establish, maintain and report Metrics regarding productivity of team members. • Manage and provide reporting regarding collection activity. • Communicate trends, issues and problems to upper management on a timely basis.• Review collection balances and determine when escalation or write-off consideration is necessary. • Special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
The requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance.• 3 - 5 years supervisory experience.• Knowledge and prior experience in deductions research & resolution.• Strong MS Office Suite skills including Excel PivotTables and Formulas (V-Lookup, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.• Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented.• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.
• Experience with SAP and JDE (JD Edwards) ERP systems is highly preferred.
