To support our ambitious growth strategy and drive operational excellence across our Power Grid Central Europe Business Unit, we are recruiting a QHSE & Industrial Director BU Power Grid Central Europe. Reporting directly to the BU Managing Director and serving as a key member of the BU Leadership Team, this role is responsible for defining and deploying the BU Industrial, Technical, QHSE and Digital Roadmap. You will lead industrial transformation initiatives, harmonize processes and methodologies across multiple manufacturing sites, and drive sustainable performance improvements in safety, quality, productivity and operational excellence.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our industrial operations across Central Europe, while leading high-impact transformation initiatives in a dynamic and international environment. The QHSE & Industrial Director BU Power Grid CEU is responsible for shaping and deploying the Business Unit's Industrial and QHSE Strategy across manufacturing sites in France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the UK and Greece. The role drives operational performance through standardized industrial tools, CAPEX programs, Lean Manufacturing principles, digitalization initiatives and the deployment of the Next Level methodology. By promoting a strong safety culture, process harmonization and continuous improvement, the position plays a critical role in supporting the long-term competitiveness, sustainability and growth of the Business Unit.

HOW TO MAKE AN IMPACT

In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate closely with plant management teams, business leaders and Group functions to deliver consistent industrial performance and foster a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.

  • Define and deploy the BU Industrial, Technical, QHSE and Digital Roadmap in alignment with business objectives and Nexans Group strategy.
  • Drive operational excellence across all manufacturing sites by improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and Inventory performance through standardized methodologies and governance.
  • Lead strategic CAPEX programs, industrial transformation projects and footprint optimization initiatives to support future growth and competitiveness.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Group policies, QHSE standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Accelerate continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, digitalization, automation and best-practice sharing across the Business Unit.
  • Coordinate with BG Engineering, Marketing and Group Innovation to support product, process and technology development.
  • Develop organizational capabilities, strengthen performance management routines and foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial and operations leadership.
  • Strong track record in Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience leading international teams in a matrix environment.
  • Proven success delivering industrial transformation and CAPEX projects.
  • Hands-on manufacturing and engineering experience.
  • Broad exposure to industrial technologies and processes.
  • Fluent English with strong stakeholder management skills.
