Back End for Front End Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Back End for Front End (BFF) Developer to build middleware services that connect backend microservices with the front-end portal.

Working closely with Frontend, Backend, UX, and other engineering teams, you will design and develop BFF services that orchestrate APIs, handle authentication, optimize data delivery, and provide a reliable interface between the portal and backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop BFF middleware services that connect the front-end portal with backend microservices.
• Orchestrate and aggregate data from multiple backend services to support front-end requirements.
• Translate business and front-end requirements into effective BFF solutions.
• Implement authentication and secure communication between services.
• Develop and integrate REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Implement caching strategies to improve application performance and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot integration and middleware issues across front-end and backend services.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Backend, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Technical Skills

• BFF Architecture:

  Understanding of Backend for Frontend patterns and middleware service design.

• Backend:

  Node.js and/or Java with Spring Boot.

• API Integration:

  REST, GraphQL, API orchestration, and service aggregation.

• Security:

  Authentication and secure service-to-service communication.

• Performance:

  Caching strategies and middleware performance optimization.
