Microservices Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a Microservices Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of microservices for a new MSP solution.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building scalable, secure, resilient, and observable distributed systems using Spring Boot and AWS. The role will provide technical direction across architecture, APIs, integrations, data, security, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of microservices using Spring Boot and AWS.
• Define service boundaries, APIs, contracts, and integration patterns.
• Design secure authentication and authorization workflows.
• Build data persistence solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven communication.
• Establish observability through centralized logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• Ensure scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance.
• Oversee CI/CD, deployment, and environment configuration practices.
• Promote secure coding, secrets management, and cloud-native best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues across services and environments.
• Provide technical guidance and establish engineering standards and best practices.

• AWS:

  Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and MSK/Kafka.

• Security:

  OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, OWASP API Security, secure coding, and secrets management.

• Data & Messaging:

  PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, schema migrations, Outbox Pattern, and idempotent consumers.

• Observability:

  CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, structured logging, correlation IDs, dashboards, and alerting.

• Testing:
