Are you interested in helping transform manufacturing through Lean Excellence? As Senior Specialist, Performance & Capability, you will define and set the Lean strategy for our global Nacelles Manufacturing organization, shaping how nine factories operate and improve. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with leaders at all levels and deliver sustainable operational excellence on a global scale.

The Performance & Capability Department is responsible for establishing and governing NAC Manufacturing standards, concepts, capabilities, and performance frameworks throughout the product lifecycle.

The department translates manufacturing strategy into scalable, standardized, and repeatable manufacturing systems through Manufacturing Concepts & Strategy; Lean & Performance Excellence; Flow Engineering & Digital Manufacturing; and Training Governance & Capability Development

The organization serves as the bridge between product development, industrialization, manufacturing operations, and manufacturing excellence, ensuring manufacturability, capability readiness, standardization, and continuous improvement are embedded from concept development through product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Define and set the Lean strategy for Nacelles Manufacturing, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the global factory network.
  • Identify operational challenges and improvement opportunities, transforming insights into sustainable solutions.
  • Act as the subject matter specialist within Lean methodologies and operational excellence practices.
  • Implement standardization and best practices across factories to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at every level of the organization, including engineering groups and senior executives.
  • Manage change management efforts that build Lean thinking, capability development, and continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience within Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Manufacturing Excellence.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification paired with a history of delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Experience developing and implementing Lean or Operational Excellence strategies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex improvement initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in global and matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders and locations.

  • The candidate will be regarded as a trusted advisor to manufacturing leadership and a key contributor to the future competitiveness of Nacelles Manufacturing.
