Assistant Accountant/Accountant

About the Role
This is a hands-on accounting role helping to keep our receivables and reconciliations accurate and supporting the monthly close. You will work closely with a small, supportive finance team, and have the chance to learn modern accounting systems and AI/automation tools as we modernise how we work. It is a great role for someone who enjoys accurate, well-organised work and wants to grow their reconciliation and month-end skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile restaurant sales (from the POS) to bank receipts by outlet, and help investigate and resolve any differences.
• Help substantiate month-end balances such as customer deposits and gift-card balances, making sure they agree to the ledger.
• Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments, and support a smooth monthly close.
• Use our systems and AI/automation tools (with training) to make routine tasks faster and more accurate over time.
• Provide backup support to the accounts-payable / payments work when needed.
• Keep tidy records and help with audit preparation.

Requirements

• Some accounting experience (around 1–3 years), or a strong graduate keen to build reconciliation and month-end skills.
• Studying towards or holding an accounting qualification (LCCI / HKICPA / ACCA), a diploma or degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable with Excel and working with numbers; careful, organised and reliable.
• Open and willing to learn new systems and tools, curiosity and a positive attitude matter more than prior expertise.
• A helpful team player who communicates well and takes pride in accurate work.
• Bilingual fluency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
