Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Thick Film Paste Formulator to lead the development of advanced conductive pastes and inks for electronic applications. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in thick-film materials, conductive ink formulation, passive components, printed electronics, and customer-facing technical development activities. This role requires close collaboration with customers, manufacturing teams, and global R&D organizations to develop innovative materials solutions and accelerate commercialization.

What will you be doing?

Product Development & Formulation

• Develop, formulate, and optimize thick-film pastes and inks for electronic applications.
• Design new materials systems to achieve targeted electrical, mechanical, rheological, and reliability requirements with polymer technology knowledge.
• Lead formulation development for:

• Inks for soft termination application
• Terminations for chip passive components
• Inks for tantalum capacitor electrodes

• Material characterization, performance evaluation, and reliability testing.

Application Development

• Develop application-specific solutions for emerging electronics markets including wearables, flexible electronics, and in-mold electronics.
• Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and translate them into material design specifications.
• Support scale-up activities from laboratory development to manufacturing implementation.

Customer Technical Support

• Provide direct technical support to customers for product qualification, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct regular customer visits and participate in joint development projects.
• Lead technical discussions with engineering teams and key customer stakeholders.
• Resolve product performance and manufacturing challenges through collaborative problem-solving.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with global R&D teams, manufacturing, marketing, and quality organizations.
• Transfer technology and best practices across regional and international teams.
• Contribute to global product development programs and strategic technology initiatives.

Innovation & Intellectual Property

• Identify new material technologies and market opportunities.
• Generate innovative product concepts and protect intellectual property through patents and invention disclosures.
• Stay current with advancements in electronic materials, printed electronics, and conductive paste technologies.

Who are You?

• Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in conductive paste, thick-film materials, electronic inks, or electronic materials development.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Silver, copper, carbon, and specialty conductive systems
• Thick-film paste formulation and rheology control
• Polymer binders, solvents, dispersants, and additives
• Electronic component and circuit fabrication processes
• Reliability and performance testing methodologies

• Experience supporting customer development programs and product commercialization.
• Strong problem-solving and experimental design skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively in English.
