As EHS Manager, you will lead the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy for our manufacturing facility, creating value by fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building trusted partnerships across the organization. You will influence leaders and employees at all levels to strengthen safe behaviors, drive continuous improvement, and support a proactive approach to risk management while protecting people, the environment, and the business.
Our Team
You will join Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, and lead a small but highly impactful EHS team. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Medical Services, Security, government agencies, and Molex EHS to create a safe and compliant workplace. This role provides the opportunity to shape the site's safety culture while leading Environmental, Health & Safety programs that support business success and employee well-being.
What You Will Do
- Lead and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Promote a strong safety mindset and influence safe behaviors through collaboration, coaching, and employee engagement.
- Manage EHS incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and return-to-work efforts.
- Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including audits, inspections, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Partner with operations, HR, security, medical services, and leadership teams to identify risks and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ensure environmental compliance through permits, inspections, waste management programs, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs that build employee capability and strengthen safety ownership.
- Drive employee involvement in safety initiatives and encourage the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.
- Build trust-based relationships and foster a culture where employees actively participate in creating a safer work environment.
- Lead, develop, and support the EHS team while creating value through Principle Based Management™.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related technical field.
- Experience leading Environmental, Health & Safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
- Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to influence and build credibility with employees, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change while maintaining high standards of compliance and accountability.
- English proficiency sufficient to effectively collaborate in a multinational environment.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience leading EHS programs in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience working in unionized environments.
- Medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry experience.
- Demonstrated success influencing organizational culture and strengthening employee engagement around safety.
- Experience applying Principle Based Management™ principles to develop teams and achieve business results.
