The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This is a permanent part-time position working
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10.30am – 7pm, based in Blenheim.
We are a 6 bed, single staffed, 24/7 residential
recovery mental health and addictions group home in Blenheim. As a
Support Worker you’ll walk alongside whai ora to achieve their individual goals
and build skills to support recovery and
move to independent living.
You’ll also:
- Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice
- Conduct relevant administrative tasks, produce comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers, and support and collaborate with your colleagues
- You’ll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes - cleaning, budgeting, cooking, gardening or helping out with everyday household tasks
- Attend appointments and advocate for people
About you | Mōu
You’ll have a non-judgemental attitude and an
ability to build relationships quickly.
You’ll also;
- Hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Hold a first aid certificate or willing to obtain one
- Preferably you hold the L4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or currently studying towards this qualification.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
