Role

The Sports & Recreation Coordinator plays an important role in creating engaging and memorable recreational experiences for guests. The position is responsible for coordinating and supporting a variety of sports, water sports, and recreational activities while ensuring smooth daily operations, guest safety, and high service standards. The coordinator provides guests with accurate information and personalized recommendations based on their interests and encourages participation in available activities. The role also supports the maintenance of activity areas and equipment and assists in continuously improving programs based on guest feedback and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the daily administrative tasks of the Sports & Recreation Department.
• Responds to guests’ inquiries regarding the best spots for diving and snorkeling.
• Provides guests with information about available water sports activities.
• Welcomes guests to activities, introduces them to other participants, explains facility rules, and encourages participation.
• Coordinates and implements social activities for guests.
• Assists the Sports & Recreation Manager in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating day-to-day activity programs and special events.
• Assists with special projects and contributes ideas to support the growth of the department.
• Checks guest access, answers phone calls, and assists guests with information and services.
• Works collaboratively as a team member and accepts special assignments within or outside the department as requested by the Immediate Head.
• Provides assistance to guests participating in activities to ensure their needs and inquiries are properly addressed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, Sports and Recreation Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in sports and recreation, guest activities, or other related hospitality operations.
• Prior experience with international or luxury hotel brands is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sports and recreational activities, including water sports, snorkeling, and diving activities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Good administrative and organizational skills in coordinating activities and guest requests.
• Strong attention to detail in handling guest information, activity schedules, and other departmental requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Customer service-oriented with a professional, approachable, and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
