Machine Operator

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned machines and equipment used in optics manufacturing processes.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and established process parameters.
• Perform visual inspection and basic quality checks to identify scratches, chips, stains, contamination, and other product defects.
• Load and unload optical components safely and correctly from production equipment.
• Record production output, machine conditions, and inspection results accurately.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance activities as required.
• Escalate machine abnormalities, quality issues, and process deviations to the Supervisor or Technician.
• Maintain proper handling and cleanliness of optical components to prevent damage and contamination.
• Meet daily production, quality, safety, and efficiency targets.
• Follow all company safety, 5S, and cleanroom/controlled-environment requirements.

Education & Experience

• At least Senior High School graduate, Vocational graduate, or Associate degree.
• Manufacturing, machine operation, or inspection experience is preferred.
• Experience in optics, semiconductor, precision manufacturing, or other cleanroom environments is an advantage.

Skills

• Basic machine operation and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality processes.
• Good visual inspection and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow work instructions and process specifications accurately.
• Good documentation and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate production or quality concerns.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different machines and processes.
• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and safety awareness.

Working Conditions

• 100% onsite work.
• Work may require Sunday overtime (OT) depending on production requirements.
• May require prolonged standing during the shift.
• May require working in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Must be willing to work extended hours or overtime when required by business and production needs.
