We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer with Virtual ECU (vECU) specialization. In this role, you will serve as the key technical expert for vECU technologies, driving the adoption of Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and virtual validation approaches across multiple automotive software projects. You will collaborate with software development, architecture, integration, validation and DevOps teams to enable scalable virtual development environments, support project execution, and coach engineering teams on vECU best practices. This position combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, process development, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

What you can look forward to as aSenior Software Development Engineer – Virtual ECU (vECU)(f/m/d):

• Act as the primary technical authority for vECU-related topics across multiple projects and domains.
• Define standards, architectural guidelines, and processes for Virtual ECU development and Software-in-the-Loop environments.
• Design, develop, configure and maintain Virtual ECU environments used for software integration, testing, and validation.
• Drive continuous improvement of virtual validation capabilities and development workflows.
• Support Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Interface with customers and technical stakeholders regarding virtualization strategies and implementation approaches.
• Mentor and coach engineers working with virtualization technologies, AUTOSAR platforms, and virtual validation frameworks.

Your profile as aSenior Software Development Engineer – Virtual ECU (vECU)(f/m/d):

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or related technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in embedded software development, automotive software integration, or ECU development.
• Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture.
• Proven hands-on experience with Virtual ECU development and/or Software-in-the-Loop environments.
• Understanding of embedded hardware concepts and microcontroller architectures.
• Proficiency in C/C++, scripting and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with Linux and embedded operating systems.
• Experience serving as a technical lead, senior specialist, or subject matter expert.
• Fluent in English.
