What You’ll Do

As a Deployment Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers deploy, configure, and optimize the AlgoSec Horizon platform. Your primary objective is to accelerate customers' time-to-value by delivering successful implementations based on industry best practices while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deploy, configure, and optimize the AlgoSec Horizon platform in enterprise customer environments.
• Lead technical implementation activities, including installation, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and system administration.
• Guide customers on deployment best practices to help them achieve rapid operationalization and business value.
• Deliver customer knowledge transfer sessions and technical training.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate closely with R&D, Support, and Product Management to drive timely resolution.
• Work closely with Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success, and Solution Engineering throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Support strategic customer engagements by providing technical expertise and deployment recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing field feedback, lessons learned, and deployment best practices.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professionalism, technical excellence, and consultative engagement.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar technical consulting, deployment, or professional services role within a software or cybersecurity company.
• Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, and network architectures.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, including Check Point, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar vendors.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) and cloud networking/security concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong consulting, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Attention to details.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to perform effectively under pressure. Demonstrating a “make it happen” attitude.
• Team player with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Ability to travel across EMEA, including short-notice travel, for up to 80% of working time.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Linux scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash/Shell).
• Experience with REST APIs and automation.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN), cloud networking, or virtual routing.
• Experience with security automation and workflow technologies.
• Proficiency in German, French, or another European language.
