Senior Software Engineer, Health and Home Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in C++ or Java.
• Experience with platforms and infrastructure development.
• Experience refactoring and working in legacy systems.
• Experience with memory or other resource optimizations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with large, distributed infrastructure and working across multiple sytsems.
• Experience refactoring and working in legacy systems.
• Experience with memory optimization.
• On-call experience (production debugging).

The Home and Health infrastructure is expanding to Warsaw building out a new team that will focus on resource efficiency, starting with memory. This work includes identifying and submitting memory optimization, developing tools for understanding memory usage and other tools to help features teams optimize their memory usage.

The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
