Senior Specialist - IT - VMware & Veeam Backup

As a Senior IT Specialist within OT Infrastructure – On-Prem Data Centers, you will joining a highly skilled team of specialists who play a key role in delivering and supporting ARLA’s Production Infrastructure across all of Arla's manufacturing sites.

How you will make an impact

You will work closely with peers across the OT Infrastructure team, site IT teams, vendors and technical specialists to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed service levels, security requirements and operational standards.

Tasks and Responsibilities include

• Deliver and support OT On-Prem Data Center services, including server infrastructure, virtualisation platforms, backup services and supporting technologies.
• Monitor service performance, availability, capacity and operational health, proactively identifying and addressing risks before they impact production.
• Coordinate and execute infrastructure maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, hardware replacements and lifecycle management.
• Perform backup validation, recovery testing and failover exercises to ensure business continuity requirements are met.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and provide expert support to site IT teams and service partners.
• Support major incident response activities both during standard working hours and as part of the on-call rota when required.
• Ensure timely resolution and communication of incidents, service requests and operational issues in accordance with agreed support processes and service commitments.

This role is primarily operated within standard business hours, with participation in an on-call rota to support business-critical production environments outside normal working hours when required.

What will make you successful

For this role, we are looking for someone with at least 7+ years of experience within, Server infrastructure operations. Particularly hands-on experience supporting VMware, ESXi, server backup and virtual machine hardware lifecycle management.

• Have a strong knowledge of backup, recovery and business continuity concepts, preferably with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Experience working with Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Proven experience working within SLA-driven support or service delivery organisations.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem, change and lifecycle management processes.
• Experience working with service providers, support partners and business stakeholders.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution across multiple teams.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
