The Senior Salesforce Data Governance Specialist supports the quality, consistency and effective management of critical commercial data within Salesforce.
The role focuses on key data domains such as Accounts, Contacts, Assets, Products and other business or reference data created in or integrated into Salesforce. The successful candidate will monitor and improve data quality, manage recurring data maintenance and stewardship activities, support sustainable data controls, and assess data impacts across Salesforce changes, integrations and major initiatives.
The role works closely with Commercial Operations, business data owners, the Salesforce Technology team and IT to improve the reliability and sustainability of commercial data.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days from the office and 2 days from home.

Monitor the accuracy, completeness and consistency of critical Salesforce data and investigate data-quality issues, perform recurring data maintenance, clean-up, deduplication and stewardship activities across key Salesforce data domains.
Create and maintain relevant business, master and reference data, including Accounts, Contacts, Assets and Products, manage governed mass data updates, including preparation and validation of source data and mappings.
Identify recurring data issues, support root-cause analysis and help implement more sustainable controls and processes, support Salesforce data-governance standards, data definitions, ownership and stewardship processes.
Assess data impacts of Salesforce enhancements, integrations and major projectss, support data mappings, quality requirements, migration validation, functional testing and post-deployment checks.
Gather and clarify data-related requirements and work with Salesforce administrators, IT teams, business data owners and other stakeholders.
Maintain relevant data-governance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of data-quality and stewardship processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or another relevant field.
3+ years of experience in Salesforce data management, CRM data quality, master data, data stewardship or a related area, hands-on experience with data cleansing, deduplication, validation and mass updates.
Experience maintaining business, master or reference data across connected systems, experience investigating data issues and supporting root-cause analysis, experience supporting data migration, integration, testing or transformation initiatives, experience working with business data owners and cross-functional technology teams.
Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator (preferred)a, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst or Platform App Builder (advantageous), strong understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships and data-management capabilities.
Good understanding of data-quality principles, data ownership, stewardship and governance controls, experience with data imports, exports, mapping, validation and bulk updates.
Ability to analyze recurring data issues and identify sustainable improvements, understanding of integrations and downstream data impacts.
Strong Excel and analytical skills, with familiarity with Salesforce reports and dashboards.
