Virtualization Engineer

This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you also have the option to work from our office in a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Design, operate, and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Plan and implement high-availability solutions, live migrations, and infrastructure changes.
• Analyze and optimize CPU, memory, storage, and network capacity and performance.
• Coordinate and deliver virtualization and infrastructure projects, from architecture and implementation through testing and handover.
• Troubleshoot complex hypervisor and infrastructure issues during project implementation and stabilization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, project plans, test plans, and runbooks, and present solutions and project outcomes to stakeholders.

When you fit in with us

Mandatory requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi and virtualization technologies.
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure or virtualization projects end-to-end.
• Good understanding of data center architectures, including SAN, storage, networking, backup, and high availability concepts.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience managing multiple projects in parallel;
• Fluency in English and German.
