Responsibilities
· The efficient day-to-day support in the running of the TSS AGE Shop
· Maintaining good engineering practice and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders
· Prepare items for calibration within the work area
· Diagnose AGE issues through use of appropriate test equipment and technical publications
· Maintain servicing records for all items of Tornado dedicated AGE
· Carry out TCTO’s and Special Inspections when directed
· Ensure compliance with tool control processes and procedures
· Be able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise
· Monitor all supply issues affecting the TSS AGE Shop
· Providing up to date briefings and information to all concerned parties on daily progress and raising any issues affecting the TSS AGE Shop output
· Responsible for reporting and encouraging expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or highlighting any safety concerns and failings immediately
· Identify and execute opportunities to improve and enhance the delivery of the TSS service and encourage a Continuous Improvement culture.
Job Requirements:
· Essential:
· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA
OR
· Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA
· Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required
· Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration
· Have at least 5 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)
· Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering
· Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role
· Desirable:
· Broad Aerospace and Defence company / industry knowledge
· An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures
· Understand and use Maintenance GoldESP system or similar platform
· Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and Documentation
