We are looking for a “Food Laboratory Food Contact Team Leader” for the Intertek Turkey office's Food Laboratory.

• Graduates of university departments of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Food Engineering
• Knowledgeable about analyses of substances and materials that come into contact with food and relevant regulations
• Experienced in packaging analyses, migration tests, and method implementation
• Apt for new method development and validation/verification studies
• Proficient in the operating principles of HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS/MS instruments
• Knowledgeable about laboratory quality systems and, preferably, ISO/IEC 17025
• Proficient in using MS Office applications
• Possesses strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Possesses team management and coordination skills
• Is inquisitive, responsible, and able to take initiative when necessary
• Has strong planning, task tracking, and results-oriented work skills
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Evaluate analysis results from a technical perspective and perform the necessary checks
• Monitor requirements for records, documentation, equipment, and methods within the scope of the ISO/IEC 17025 quality system
• Provide technical support for internal and external audit processes and follow up on necessary actions
• Monitor the training, competencies, and task assignments of unit personnel
• Evaluate customer requests from a technical perspective and assist in determining the feasible scope of analysis
• Ensure the achievement of the unit’s quality, efficiency, deadline, and operational goals
• Conduct root cause analyses for nonconformities, deviations, and technical issues, and implement the necessary corrective actions.
