Scope:
The role covers daily transactional accounting activities, including vendor invoice entry, corporate card reconciliations, employee expense accounting, banking instructions, and export invoice processing. The Accounting Specialist interacts with internal teams (Finance, Logistics, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR) and external stakeholders (banks, vendors, customs authorities, logistics providers). The scope includes responsibility for tracking e invoices, supporting bank collection closure processes for export transactions, preparing reconciliations, and providing timely financial information to the company’s headquarters treasury team. The role also supports month-end accounting activities, foreign currency revaluations, and prepaid expense postings.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist supports daily accounting operations of the Turkish entity of a global organization. The role focuses on accounts payable, expense processing, banking operations, e invoice tracking, export documentation, and assigned reconciliations. This position ensures accurate and timely posting of financial transactions into the local ERP (e.g., Netsis), supports treasury processes, and assists the finance team with month-end closing and reporting activities.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Expense Processing & Corporate Card Reconciliation
• Post employee expense forms—including retail receipts and purchase invoices—into the Local ERP system.
• Track expense approvals in applications such as SAP Concur (or similar) and ensure timely posting into the ERP.
• Reconcile corporate credit card spending balances with the corresponding transactions recorded in Concur.
- Vendor Invoice Processing & Accounts Payable
• Enter vendor expense, service, and fixed asset invoices received from suppliers into the Local ERP (e.g., Netsis) and record related accounting entries.
• Prepare domestic and international vendor payment lists and enter transfers into banking systems.
- Banking Operations & Treasury Support
• Perform daily banking operations, communicate with bank representatives, and enter payment instructions.
• Send weekly and monthly bank account balances to the headquarters treasury department.
• Prepare lists to confirm whether export-related bank transfers received by the company were collected by customers within deadlines set by Turkish Customs, and follow up with banks to ensure timely closure.
- Export Operations & E Document Processing
• Prepare export invoices, send them to the logistics department, and record them in both the Revenue Administration’s portal and the Local ERP.
• Track incoming e invoices through the E Logo integrator portal and forward them to relevant departments via email.
- Reconciliations & Month-End Closing Support
• Perform assigned trial balance account reconciliations using FloQast or current reconciliation tools.
• Post prepaid expenses related to future periods and reconcile the total prepaid expense schedule with the corresponding general ledger accounts.
• Record month-end foreign currency revaluation entries for foreign currency bank accounts in the Local ERP system.
• Hands-on experience with Local ERP systems (e.g., Netsis) , Navision and D 365 is a plus.
• Experience with expense management tools such as Concur is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bank operations, vendor invoice processing, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency preferred.

Experience:
• 5+ years of accounting experience (preferably in multinational companies or shared service environments).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
