Loader/Driver - Class 4 or Class B

Job Summary:

Naniq Global Logistics is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver/Loader to join our Maui operations team. This is a hands-on position that combines commercial driving with loading, unloading, scanning, and freight-handling responsibilities.

The Driver/Loader is responsible for safely transporting freight to scheduled delivery locations throughout Maui while ensuring freight is properly loaded, secured, scanned, and accounted for. This position requires someone who is dependable, comfortable with physical work, and able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced transportation environment.

We enable the MLC to deepen customer relationships by applying our expertise across many verticals (ocean, air, road, final mile, etc.). Through our vast network of contacts and partners, we offer a buffet of complex services that most MLCs are unable to easily offer on their own. Acting as the MLC, Naniq is able to capture incremental profit and deepen relationships with shippers – all to the benefit of the partnered MLC.

Pay Range:

$24.48 Class 4

$26.52 CDL B

This position qualifies for the Loyalty Incentive Program bonus paid quarterly in the amount of $2 per hour worked not including PTO or holiday pay.

In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency expectations, the posted range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles on assigned Maui delivery routes.
  • Load, unload, stage, scan, and organize freight.
  • Verify freight and shipment counts before departure.
  • Complete assigned routes safely and within scheduled delivery windows.
  • Properly secure and protect freight during transportation.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate scans, delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and customer requirements.
  • Immediately communicate delays, equipment issues, damaged freight, or other operational concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, partner facilities, supervisors, and coworkers.
  • Assist with warehouse and loading operations before and after assigned routes.
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicles and work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required DOT qualifications, when applicable.
  • Previous commercial driving, delivery, warehouse, or freight-handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and material-handling equipment.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, GPS, scanning devices, and delivery applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow route and shipment instructions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screening and background requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, stepping in and out of tractor cabs, hand-eye coordination, and good vision. Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions, whole-body vibration when driving the truck. This is a hands-on position that combines commercial driving with loading, unloading, scanning, and freight-handling responsibilities.
