About this Role – Radio Technician
We are looking for a talented Radio Technician who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for performing the installation, maintenance and repair of communications equipment and systems, and any additional associated infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Install, configure, test, and maintain communication systems on job sitesInstall, configure, test, and maintain Digital Radios, GPS, Cameras, and ELD devicesPerform diagnostics tests on communication equipment and systemsDocument and report accurate services recordsCommunicate with project managers to ensure that projects remain on schedule and services are completed in a timely fashionProvide support to all end users in the field to ensure communication lines are active throughout project progress
What You’ll Bring
High school graduate (Education beyond high school preferred)1-3 years of experience in radio technology installation and service and/or 1-3 years of automotive wiring experienceBasic understanding of 12- & 24-volt systemsStrong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to anticipate and meet internal customer needsAbility to travel greater than 50% of the timeAbility to work in outdoor weather conditionsAbility to communicate with employees and vendors and exchange accurate information in these situationsFamiliarity with electrical codes, construction safety practices, and blueprintsPossess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
