Control Panel Builder

We are seeking Electrical Control Panel Builders at multiple experience levels to support the assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial control panels and electrical enclosures. Candidates may range from entry-level individuals with strong mechanical aptitude to experienced panel builders capable of independently completing complex industrial control systems. Training is available for junior candidates, while experienced hires will take greater ownership of panel fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial control panels, sub-panels, backplates, and electrical enclosures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Install and mount components including PLCs, VFDs, relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, power supplies, transformers, switches, and related control hardware.
• Perform point-to-point wiring, including cutting, stripping, crimping, terminating, labeling, routing, and bundling conductors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and other production documentation.
• Use hand and power tools, crimpers, wire strippers, drills, knockout tools, multimeters, and related panel fabrication equipment.
• Inspect completed work for proper component placement, wire sizing, terminations, labeling, and overall workmanship.
• Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues and make corrections prior to final inspection and testing.
• Document as-built changes and redline engineering drawings when modifications are required during fabrication.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and quality-focused shop environment.
• Experienced candidates may assist with panel testing, troubleshooting, quality reviews, and guidance of junior team members.

Qualifications

• 0–7+ years of electrical control panel assembly, industrial wiring, electrical assembly, or related experience.
• Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in electrical or industrial automation work are encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical, industrial, or technical training is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams preferred; training may be provided for entry-level candidates.
• Familiarity with industrial controls components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, breakers, transformers, terminal blocks, and power supplies is preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate, organized wiring and follow wire identification, labeling, and color-coding requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Experienced candidates should be comfortable independently building and troubleshooting industrial control panels.
• Panel testing, electrical troubleshooting, or previous team leadership experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move components up to approximately 50 pounds.
