Summary

The Office of Management and Finance is responsible for overseeing the following divisions: Financial Services, Operational Performance and Compliance, Business Services, Human Resources and Support Services.
This position serves as the principal assistant to the Undersecretary over the Office of Management and Finance. This Office includes the Financial Services, Operational Performance and Compliance and Business Services. This is a highly complex, responsible executive management position assisting the Undersecretary in directing the activities of the Office of Management and Finance.
This vacancy will be filled by a current, permanent employee of the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
Examples of duties
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the managerial level or above:
Eight years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
An advanced degree, or a Juris Doctorate, plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties
- Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating all Office of Management and Finance programs and develops short and long range policies and procedures.
- Directs the work activities of all programs in the absence of the Undersecretary, serves as the principal assistant to the Undersecretary and has administrative line authority over all programs in the Group.
- Assist in the development, review, and revision of the LDR Strategic Plan as it pertains to the Office of Management and Finance.
- Reviews and revises budget recommendations for capital outlay, personnel services, equipment and materials for the department.
- Directs the preparation of special reports relating to the Office of Management and Finance.
- Prepares correspondence on complex and sensitive matters affecting the department, office, or division.
- Represents the Undersecretary at legislative committees to represent the department.
- Evaluates technical functions and provides management and supervision over the division directors.
- Completes performance, planning and review, approves leave, other requests, resolve conflicts, etc. for the division directors.
- Assists in the planning, developing, and implementing of objectives, policies and procedures necessary to ensure a coordinated approach to budget requirements to help fulfill the department's mission.
- Coordinates and prepares budget recommendations.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
