Today, we are recruiting for a Construction Delivery Director to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement the construction execution strategy and oversee site delivery for the construction scope.
  • Define, establish, and maintain the Consortium Site Policy in collaboration with Consortium partners, ensuring compliance with the Contract and Consortium Agreement requirements.
  • Ensure the effective application of the Consortium Site Policy across Siemens’ scope.
  • Define, monitor, and regularly update Consortium target milestones and the integrated site schedule, and report progress to the Consortium to support the achievement of Steering Committee objectives.
  • Identify and propose appropriate mitigation measures to Consortium members in case of delays or deviations from the agreed schedule.
  • Integrate and coordinate the overall site schedule with subsystems and Consortium partners.
  • Manage and monitor the Siemens site schedule and report progress against agreed objectives and milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with all project functions to maximize harmonization, coordination, and synergies across the project.
  • Represent the consortium externally on site-related matters with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate interfaces with the Employer and the Employer’s Representative.
  • Coordinate and manage site access requirements for traction power substations, alignment works, and related infrastructure, including bridges, culverts, and wayside structures.
  • Oversee and coordinate site construction activities covering Main Line Works, including track laying, catenary, signaling, and communication, as well as wayside structures and traction power substations.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, Quality, and Security requirements across the assigned work scope.
  • Monitor and update the Employer’s alignment works and evaluate anticipated access dates to support future site access and construction planning.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, Railway Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. A relevant professional certification in project or construction management is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in: Large-scale infrastructure or railway construction projects, with strong exposure to site execution, construction planning, schedule management, site access, interface management, and coordination across multiple contractors or Consortium partners.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience in senior construction or site management roles on complex, large-scale projects.
  • Strong in: Leadership, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural, and international project environment.
  • Experienced in managing construction execution strategies, integrated schedules, project milestones, construction interfaces, and mitigation plans, while ensuring delivery against agreed project objectives.
  • Experienced in managing interfaces with employers, employer’s representatives, consultants, consortium partners, subcontractors, and other key project stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working on railway, high-speed rail, metro, or other major transportation infrastructure projects, particularly within a Consortium or multi-partner environment is a plus.
  • Experience working across international and multicultural teams and managing complex construction activities across multiple sites is highly advantageous.
  • Fluent English is a must; knowledge of Arabic or another additional language is an advantage.
