Finance Manager

What you'll do

  • Lead, mentor and develop the offshore Financial Accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement and service excellence, while supporting the Financial Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the broader finance function.

  • Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of group financial results, including review of balance sheet reconciliations, journals, supporting workpapers and financial controls.

  • Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet through robust governance, risk management and financial control processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

  • Prepare, review and deliver high-quality cyclical and ad hoc financial reporting, analysis and board-ready insights for senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making across the business.

  • Partner with Commercial, Operations and Business Leaders to provide financial analysis, performance insights and decision support that drive profitability, operational efficiency and strategic outcomes.

  • Support the preparation and ongoing management of the Group's multi-billion-dollar cash flow forecast, providing accurate projections, working capital insights and liquidity analysis to support effective financial management.

  • Partner with Commercial Finance teams in the preparation of forecasts, budgets and business performance reviews, ensuring financial outcomes are well understood and actionable.

  • Design, develop and enhance automated reporting solutions, interactive dashboards and self-service analytics capabilities using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Snowflake and other business intelligence platforms.

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights through the development of KPI frameworks, performance scorecards and executive dashboards that improve visibility and decision-making.

  • Identify and lead opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline reporting cycles and improve data quality, leveraging modern finance technologies, analytics and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency and scalability.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems and controls, enhancing governance, reducing risk and improving the quality and timeliness of financial information.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Technology and Operations teams to strengthen data capability, improve reporting architecture and embed a data-driven decision-making culture throughout the organisation.

  • Support external audit, statutory reporting and compliance activities, ensuring all obligations are delivered accurately and within required deadlines.

What you'll bring

  • CPA qualified with demonstrated experience in finance leadership roles, combining strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver accurate, timely month-end, year-end and management reporting outcomes.

  • Advanced financial systems and data analytics capability, including experience with Power BI, Power Query, Snowflake, QlikView, DAX, SQL, SAP and ERP platforms, enabling the design of scalable reporting solutions and data-driven decision support.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, design and implement data automation, reporting transformation and self-service analytics solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data integrity and accelerate insight delivery across the business.

  • Strong understanding of data modelling, dashboard development and business intelligence frameworks, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience developing automated management reporting, KPI scorecards and executive dashboards that provide real-time visibility of financial and operational performance, supporting faster and more informed business decisions.

  • Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leaders, collaborate across functions and translate financial information into business-focused outcomes.

  • Strong process improvement mindset with demonstrated success delivering finance transformation initiatives, strengthening controls, streamlining workflows and embedding scalable, technology-enabled processes.

  • Proven track record leading and developing finance teams, fostering accountability, capability uplift and continuous improvement while maintaining strong financial control and governance standards.

  • Naturally curious and innovative, with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies, automation and AI-enabled analytics to enhance finance performance, reporting quality and decision-making capability.

  • Commercially minded business partner with the ability to challenge assumptions, identify performance drivers and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations that improve profitability, cash flow, working capital and operational outcomes.
