Description

Job Title: Digital Media Buyer
Company: Rise Collective
Location: Remote (US-based candidates only)
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Annual Compensation: Starting at $6/hr subject to candidate experience, upward growth based on performance

The Rise Collective is seeking a hands-on Digital Media Buyer to manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across multiple Rise Collective brands.

The primary focus of this role is Google Ads and Meta Ads, with a strong emphasis on Google Search. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of paid media campaigns designed to drive demand and help our brands achieve revenue and lead generation goals.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working directly inside advertising platforms, monitoring campaign performance, managing budgets, identifying opportunities, and making ongoing optimizations based on results.

We are looking for someone who understands that successful paid media goes beyond clicks and impressions. Campaigns should ultimately contribute to measurable business outcomes.

Success in this role means the campaigns you manage are organized, actively monitored, and consistently optimized.

Budgets are managed responsibly. Search terms, keywords, audiences, and creative are regularly reviewed. Tracking is reliable, established KPIs are monitored, and campaign decisions are based on performance.

Most importantly, you understand the business goal behind each campaign. Whether the objective is revenue, leads, or another measurable conversion, you use paid media to help generate the demand needed to achieve that goal.

You understand what is happening inside the accounts you manage. When something is not working, you investigate it and make thoughtful adjustments. When something is working, you look for opportunities to build on it.

  • Execute independently. You can take campaigns from setup and launch through ongoing optimization.

  • Are highly organized. You stay on top of campaign details, budgets, pacing, and priorities across multiple brands.

  • Are data-obsessed. You dig into performance, identify opportunities, and optimize toward each brand’s KPIs.

  • Think beyond the ads. You understand broader business goals and work cross-functionally to adjust campaigns based on what the business needs.

  • Communicate proactively. You regularly share insights, wins, optimizations, opportunities, and blockers without waiting to be asked.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate client and project needs, as well as team members and projects in multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Google Ads will be a major part of your day-to-day responsibilities, with a particular emphasis on paid search.

You will manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns across multiple brands, including:

  • Conducting keyword and search-term research
  • Building and maintaining Google Search campaigns
  • Managing branded and non-branded search campaigns
  • Writing and testing ad copy
  • Managing keyword match types and negative keywords
  • Reviewing search-term reports
  • Monitoring bids, budgets, and campaign pacing
  • Adjusting bidding and budgets based on performance
  • Monitoring campaign performance and key conversion metrics
  • Identifying underperforming keywords, ads, and campaigns
  • Testing opportunities to improve campaign performance
  • Supporting Performance Max and other Google campaign types where appropriate

You will also manage paid campaigns across Facebook and Instagram through Meta Ads Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and launching Meta campaigns
  • Managing prospecting and retargeting campaigns
  • Developing and maintaining campaign audiences
  • Monitoring campaign budgets and performance
  • Coordinating and testing ad creative and messaging
  • Reviewing performance across campaigns, ad sets, audiences, and ads
  • Identifying underperforming creative or targeting
  • Making ongoing optimizations based on results
  • Scaling campaigns that are performing efficiently

The goal of paid media at The Rise Collective is to drive demand that supports the business objectives of each brand

Depending on the campaign, that may mean generating revenue, increasing bookings or purchases, producing qualified leads, or achieving another defined conversion goal.

You will work with Marketing Managers and other internal stakeholders to understand the business objective behind each campaign and translate that objective into effective paid media execution.

You will:

  • Manage campaigns toward established revenue, lead generation, acquisition, or conversion goals
  • Understand the primary business objective for each campaign
  • Track the KPIs established for the campaigns you manage
  • Monitor those KPIs to understand whether campaigns are meeting performance expectations
  • Adjust budgets and campaign activity based on performance and business needs
  • Identify opportunities to capture additional demand
  • Use performance data to determine where advertising dollars are working most effectively
  • Optimize campaigns toward the outcomes that matter to the business
  • Identify performance issues and recommend appropriate adjustments

The expectation is not simply to generate traffic. You should understand what each campaign is intended to accomplish and manage paid media toward that goal.

A significant part of this position is actively managing campaigns rather than simply launching them and allowing them to run.

You will:

  • Monitor campaign performance and budget pacing
  • Track established campaign KPIs
  • Identify underperforming campaigns, keywords, audiences, or ads
  • Make adjustments to bids, budgets, targeting, keywords, and creative
  • Reallocate spend based on campaign performance
  • Conduct ongoing campaign tests
  • Document meaningful campaign changes
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and acquisition costs
  • Look for opportunities to increase spend when campaigns are performing efficiently

You should be comfortable making routine campaign optimization decisions independently while collaborating with the broader marketing team on larger strategic changes.

You should have a working understanding of digital advertising tracking and analytics and be comfortable using data to evaluate campaign performance.

You will regularly work with:

  • Google Analytics 4
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Google Ads conversion tracking
  • Meta Pixel
  • Website conversion tracking
  • Lead and form tracking
  • UTMs and campaign naming conventions

You will be responsible for monitoring the KPIs established for your campaigns and ensuring the data needed to evaluate performance is being captured accurately.

You should be able to confirm that campaigns and conversions are tracking correctly, identify potential tracking issues, and work with internal or external resources when more technical implementation is needed.

You will work closely with Marketing Managers and other internal stakeholders to understand current business priorities and translate them into paid media activity.

This may include coordinating around revenue goals, lead generation targets, promotions, seasonal demand, landing pages, creative needs, and other factors that influence campaign performance.

You should be comfortable communicating campaign performance and identifying when adjustments may be needed to help achieve established goals.
