Senior Content Designer - Global Payment

About the team
The Global Payment User Experience Design team is redefining how people around the world interact with payment and financial services. Our vision is to make complex financial services simple, trustworthy and accessible, so users in any market can take part in the digital economy easily and securely.

We combine product design, localized user research, brand creativity, and data insight to understand user needs, cultural differences, and financial behaviors across markets, solving problems that span multiple countries and regulatory environments. We do more than create exceptional product experiences. Our work shapes how users perceive and trust the brand, and drives product innovation, business growth, and the establishment of global experience standards.

You will build payment and financial products for a global user base, working with design, research, product, and technology partners around the world on problems where design decisions carry real consequences.

This role will be based onsite at our office and will require a 5-day onsite work arrangement.

Responsibilities
Lead content design and UX writing for ByteDance Global Payment products.
Craft, proofread, and edit concise, conversational, and user-centered product UI content.
Create clear, concise, and engaging product content and guidelines.
Meet and align with teams across global time zones to drive a cohesive product narrative and experience.
Collaborate with and influence design across global cross-functional teams to deliver consistent user experiences, including localization.
Proactively own and drive open-ended projects from concept to execution.
Participate in design critiques and continuously improve content quality across ByteDance Global Payment products.
Lead initiatives to improve content design and localization workflows, leveraging AI and emerging tools to drive efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• Strong English proficiency and fluent Chinese, with experience supporting localization and collaboration with Chinese-speaking teams.
• Experience in content design or UX writing, with a strong writing portfolio.
• Experience designing end-to-end products with complex user flows and scenarios.
• Experience using AI to improve content design and localization workflows.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or related industries.
• Experience working on global products and localization.
• Proficiency in Figma and content management tools.
