Position Summary

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and servicing of a personal lines book of business. This individual partners with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, maintain client relationships, and support retention and growth objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and service an assigned personal lines book of business.
  • Support policy renewals in accordance with established agency timelines.
  • Assist clients with coverage modifications and provide guidance regarding coverage options, exclusions, and exposures.
  • Submit renewal applications and coverage specifications to insurance carriers and negotiate coverage solutions.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, carriers, and internal partners.
  • Prepare proposals, issue binders and ID cards, process policy changes, and support policy administration activities.
  • Review policies and endorsements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct coverage reviews and identify opportunities to expand insurance relationships with existing clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to agency procedures, service standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to support customer and business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications Needed

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working within an insurance agency or brokerage environment.
  • Experience with AMS360 and WorkSmart systems preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.

Pay Details:
$40,000 - $65,000/ annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
