JOB SUMMARY:
Interns will perform testing and evaluation of metallic materials. This may include opportunities in mechanical testing, metallurgical analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and other laboratory analysis techniques.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Machine and test samples using a universal test machine
- Prepare and examine samples for metallographic analysis
- Examine samples using a scanning electron microscope
- Support engineers performing materials evaluation and failure analysis
- Analyze, archive, and present results in written reports
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in:
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Materials Science / Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of accountability and integrity
- Hands-on experience with machinery or laboratory equipment
