MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Proposal Writer to join our team in support of Strategic Pursuits Group (SPG) operations in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position requiring occasional on-site presence.

In this role, you will work with a seasoned team to create responses to high-value GSA AAS FEDSIM bids and other strategic opportunities, developing key written elements and supporting business development by drafting RFIs and white papers to protect our national security.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Key Personnel to author Key Personnel Qualification Matrices (KPQMs) that showcase qualifications aligned with opportunity requirements.
  • Produce thorough transition-in plans in close collaboration with SMEs to assure government clients of a smooth and efficient transition of services.
  • Generate comprehensive Quality Management Plans that meet or exceed government quality standards and requirements.
  • Write impactful past performance write-ups highlighting relevant corporate experience on similar projects, quantifying results and value delivered.
  • Assist with writing compelling RFI responses and white papers in coordination with SMEs, Business Development, and Capture Personnel.
  • Create clear, compelling narratives while writing concisely to strictly manage page count requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field, or 10+ years of overall experience.
  • 5+years of specific experience writing on $100M+ federal proposals.
  • Mastery of MS Word and strong proficiency with MS 365 products, including Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with SMEs and SPG team members under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-tempo pursuit environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating artifacts and leading written volumes specifically for GSA AAS FEDSIM bids.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record as an effective team player.
  • Familiarity with the proper and compliant use of AI tools to enhance written deliverables.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $88,200.00-$147,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
