About the Role
Are you an analytical chemist looking to apply your instrumentation expertise within a world-class R&D environment? As our Analytical Assistant Scientist, you will perform qualitative and quantitative chemical testing on stability samples, raw materials, experimental formulations, and finished products within a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laboratory setting. Utilizing standard analytical methods and pharmacopeias (USP, EP) alongside advanced instrumentation—such as HPLC, GC, Potentiometric Titration, and ICP—you will deliver reliable data, qualify and calibrate lab equipment, and support technical transfer to manufacturing facilities. If you bring precision, strong wet chemistry fundamentals, and a passion for continuous improvement, this role is a great platform to grow your career!
Core Responsibilities
- Analytical Testing & Data Interpretation: Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative analysis of raw materials and finished products applying standard analytical methods or pharmacopeias (USP, EP); provide actionable data to Product Development and Manufacturing teams.
- Instrumentation & Laboratory Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, qualify, and troubleshoot core laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC, Potentiometric Titration, ICP); ensure all instruments are maintained safely according to GMP guidelines.
- Method Optimization & Technology Transfer: Support analytical method development, optimization, and validation; assist in transferring analytical methods to global manufacturing sites and train local lab personnel.
- Quality, EOHS & Documentation: Maintain precise, up-to-date laboratory notebooks and documentation following global compliance standards, local EOHS regulations, and Quality systems.
- Technical Communication: Summarize analytical findings, present data to internal cross-functional partners, and document key learnings to drive continuous laboratory improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience (including internships) using standard analytical methods or pharmacopeias (e.g., USP/EP).
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience operating and documenting within a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or ISO-certified laboratory environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with chromatographic instruments (HPLC, GC) and specialized laboratory techniques (Potentiometric Titration, ICP).
- Experience assisting with laboratory project management, method validations, or method transfer activities.
- Background in CPG, cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
Note: This is a temporary position for 1 year.
