Job Description
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
- Report for duty as scheduled and attend pre- and post-shift briefings.
- Oversee daily operations of the Hotel Security Control Room.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems; promptly report irregularities.
- Manage access points and ensure only authorized entries.
- Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house.
- Respond promptly to all security, safety, and medical emergencies.
- Handle incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and documentation in line with SOPs.
- Manage lost & found items, key control, and visitor/contractor passes.
- Provide crowd control, lift management, and VIP escort duties as required.
- Assist in training and guiding security officers on SOPs and hotel policies.
- Ensure all security systems and equipment are operational; report faults promptly.
- Liaise with management, vendors, and local authorities on security issues.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years' security experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel
- Proven experience in administering persons in lifesaving or property protection situations
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, firefighting, and crowd control
- Minimum Chief Security Officer Certification as required by local authorities
- Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) Certificate
- Proficiency with hotel security systems and strong computer, report writing, communication, investigation, and questioning skills
