Senior IT Pillar Specialist

Job Overview:

The JDE Technical Specialist designs, develops, supports and improves technical solutions within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. The role delivers reliable applications, reports, batch processes, integrations, orchestrations and data solutions while protecting production stability, security and auditability. Working closely with JDE functional consultants, business teams, CNC administrators, database specialists and external partners, the specialist converts functional requirements into maintainable technical solutions and provides advanced production support.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, unit test, deploy and support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne custom applications, reports, batch applications, business functions and integrations.
• Work with functional consultants and business stakeholders to review requirements, identify standard capabilities, estimate effort and produce technical designs.
• Develop and maintain objects using the JDE EnterpriseOne toolset, including Object Management Workbench, FDA, RDA, NER, business functions, data structures, tables, views and processing options.
• Build and support integrations using Orchestrator, REST or SOAP services, Business Services, EDI, flat files, database interfaces, middleware and scheduled jobs as applicable.
• Investigate complex production incidents involving application logic, batch processing, data integrity, interfaces, performance or environment-specific behavior.
• Perform root-cause analysis and deliver sustainable corrective actions rather than repeated data fixes or manual workarounds.
• Create technical specifications, object inventories, deployment instructions, rollback plans, unit-test evidence, support documentation and knowledge articles.
• Follow Object Management Workbench, package, promotion and change-management standards across development, test and production environments.
• Partner with CNC and infrastructure teams on package builds, deployments, server processes, logs, kernels, environment issues, tools releases and performance diagnostics.
• Analyze JDE tables and transaction relationships using SQL while following approved access, privacy and production-data controls.
• Review custom code for quality, security, performance, reusability and upgrade compatibility; reduce unnecessary customization where a standard option is viable.
• Support upgrades, tools releases, platform or cloud migrations, environment refreshes, disaster-recovery exercises and cutover activities.
• Monitor recurring failures and technical debt; recommend automation, observability, simplification and modernization opportunities.
• Mentor developers and support analysts, conduct peer reviews and improve shared technical knowledge across the support team.
• Liase with other support leads to troubleshoot integration issues including Boomi Cloud support team and external vendors.
• Oversee the resolution of incidents related to JDE/One World applications, ensuring timely response, escalation, and resolution according to established SLAs / KPIs.
• Lead the change management efforts, including training and communication plans, to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and features.
• Participate and contribute to Audit requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne technical development and support experience.
• Strong working knowledge of EnterpriseOne development tools and object types, including OMW, FDA, RDA, NER, business functions, data structures, tables, views, versions and processing options.
• Exposure with JDE on OCI , Windows, Oracle Database environments..
• Experience developing or supporting interfaces, batch applications, reports and custom applications in a production ERP environment.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications 9.2 and current EnterpriseOne Tools releases.
• Hands-on exposure to JDE Orchestrator, AIS, REST services, notifications, form extensions or other extensibility capabilities.
• Experience with Java, C, C++, JavaScript, XML, JSON, web services, SFTP, middleware or enterprise scheduling tools.
• Understanding of CNC concepts, package builds, path codes, environments, security and deployment architecture.
• Knowledge of JDE Financial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Project modules and their cross-module data flows.
• Experience in a global, multi-company, project-driven or engineering and construction environment.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts, including safe analysis of JDE data structures and transactional relationships.
• Experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, monitoring, code-quality controls or CI/CD-adjacent processes for ERP development.
• Experience with software-development lifecycle practices, source/object control, peer review, unit testing, defect resolution and controlled deployment.
• Ability to interpret functional specifications and translate them into scalable technical designs.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills across functional, technical and business audiences.
• Experience handling high-priority production incidents with clear ownership, status communication and root-cause discipline.
