Job Description

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, PySpark, SQL, data modeling, and CI/CD practices to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that support analytics and business reporting needs.

What You'll Do

  • You'll design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions in Microsoft Fabric, including Data Pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse architectures, and end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows.
  • You'll build and maintain PySpark notebooks to perform data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, aggregation, and performance optimization.
  • You'll develop and support data warehouse solutions using Fabric Warehouse and SQL Endpoints, creating complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and incremental data-loading processes.
  • You'll design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, Fact and Dimension tables, and semantic models for Power BI reporting.
  • You'll ensure data quality and operational excellence through validation frameworks, monitoring, troubleshooting, Git-based source control, CI/CD deployments, and adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

About you

  • You have 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Data Engineering, with hands-on expertise in designing and supporting modern data platforms.
  • You possess strong experience with Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, SQL Endpoints, and Power BI semantic models.
  • You are proficient in Python and PySpark development, with the ability to build, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain scalable data processing solutions.
  • You have advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including ETL/ELT development, Star and Snowflake schema design, Fact and Dimension modeling, and data quality validation.
  • You have experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub, including CI/CD implementation, release management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and working within governance and security best practices.
