The School of Engineering and & Computing at the American International University in Kuwait comprises the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The school offers Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Position Summary

The School of Engineering and Computing invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Industrial Engineering at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, maintain an active research profile, and engage with emerging technologies and methodologies. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, curriculum development, student mentorship, research, and institutional service, while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, student-centered, and multicultural academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality undergraduate courses with a strong focus on practical, industry-oriented learning.

• Integrate real-world industry practices, case studies, current technologies, and professional standards into teaching.

• Incorporate AI, digital technologies, data analytics, automation, simulation tools, and other emerging technologies into teaching and applied projects.

• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners on applied research, consulting, innovation, technology development, and interdisciplinary

• Participate in industry engagement activities, including guest lectures, workshops, site visits, professional events, and advisory committees

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 5 years of university-level teaching experience, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and student engagement.

• Demonstrated ability to connect academic learning with real-world industry practices and applications.

• Experience using relevant professional, engineering, analytical, simulation, or digital tools.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal, mentoring, advising, and organizational abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teaching and research.

• Ability to integrate diverse cultural and ethical perspectives into the curriculum.
