Role Overview

Role Title: Product Manager (Insurance)

Function: Product

Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level

Employment Type: Full time

Klook's Travel Services business spans Insurance, eSIM, Travel Convenience and a newly launched Multi-day Tour initiative. Insurance is our most commercially mature line and the most complex one across markets. We are looking for a PM who can own the business outcome of this line end to end: you will be the product POC for Insurance, co-managing the line with the Product Lead, directly accountable for business metrics, and working alongside operations team and engineering team

What you'll do

  • Own the business: Act as product owner for the Insurance line, co-managing it with the Product Lead and accountable for GMV, attach rate, take rate and claim experience.
  • Product: Define insurance product constructs (travel accident, flight delay, baggage, cancellation protection, embedded insurance), including coverage, pricing strategy and policy-term configuration.
  • Supply: Own the product side of insurer / broker / MGA integrations, expand underwriting capability across markets and points of sale, and design a reusable supply onboarding framework.
  • Admin tool: Build and iterate the internal configuration and operations console so that OPS can self-serve product launches, rule changes and exception handling — driving down operational cost over time.
  • User journey: Own the pre-purchase, purchase and post-purchase experience and conversion, including in-context purchase placement, coverage communication, policy management and renewal.
  • End-to-end: Partner with the Order & Claim domain PM so the "purchase → policy → claim" chain has no gaps.
  • Compliance: Align with Legal, Compliance and local regulatory requirements to keep every market's solution shippable.
  • Data: Define instrumentation, build the core dashboards, and use data to drive roadmap decisions and quarterly OKRs.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years (P6) / 6+ years (P7) of B2C or B2B2C product experience, including at least 2 years in travel, insurance, fintech or payments.
  • Insurance domain experience strongly preferred: familiarity with product/coverage design, underwriting logic, policy lifecycle, claims processes, and insurer / broker / MGA integration models.
  • Ability to independently craft a near-term roadmap, articulate how it ties to team and company goals, and make well-reasoned trade-offs across scope, timeline and quality.
  • Strong specification skills for complex functionality: you can decompose a complex problem into multiple interrelated specs in the right order, judge the right level of detail (neither under- nor over-specced), and factor engineering effort into your requirements.
  • Data fluency: self-serve querying and analysis (SQL / BI), and the ability to connect project-level outcomes to the metrics that drive the business line.
  • Stakeholder management: you can anticipate stakeholder feedback and arrive with a plan to address it, and escalate effectively when alignment isn't reachable.
  • Professional English; comfortable working across Greater China, Southeast Asia and Japan/Korea teams.

Nice to have

  • 0-to-1 launch of insurance products across multiple countries / points of sale.
  • Experience scaling embedded or contextual insurance.
  • Product experience in claims automation, anti-fraud or self-service claims.
  • A track record of building internal tooling with OPS that measurably improved operational efficiency.
