Local Unit & Position Description:

We are looking for a professional with extensive wind industry experience as a rotor blade and composite specialist to join our team in delivering services to the renewable energy market in general and the wind industry in particular.

To support our growth in the sector, we are looking for a wind turbine blade/composite specialist with Project management skills to join our team in delivering certification services to the wind power industry.

You will work closely with the team of highly qualified professionals spread over our locations in Hamburg, Copenhagen, Shanghai and Beijing. You will also collaborate and have extensive contact with other departments, as various projects are staffed with multidisciplinary experts in the company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Certification of wind turbine blades with focus on design for manufacture

  • Inspection activities for blade certification projects, including manufacturing inspections, field inspections, witnessing of tests

  • Laboratory evaluation and assessment of the rotor blade and sub-component test

  • Technical support in failure investigations and Root Cause Analyses

  • Drive type approval of composite materials used for blades activities by defining certification scope, validating test evidence, overseeing laboratory execution, and supporting manufacturing and inspection compliance.

  • Manage certification projects by coordinating stakeholders, planning deliverables, and ensuring timely and high‑quality execution in line with certification requirements.

  • To thrive in this position, you would ideally have some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Materials Science (composites), Wind Turbine Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on composite structures from e.g. an internship or a master thesis at a relevant company

  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience as a Rotor Blade and composite specialist in the wind industry

  • Expertise in one or more of the flowing areas:

    • Rotor blade design
    • Assessment of manufacturing defects in wind turbine blades
    • Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and repair techniques
    • Certification
  • Specialist & project management experience

  • Fluent in English, further language skills (German) will be a plus

  • You have a high degree of flexibility and willingness to travel (about 30 % of the working time) within Mainland China but as well other countries.
